Education, not advice
Everything on this site, including the calculators, articles and explanations, is for general education only. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal or retirement-planning advice, and it isn't tailored to your situation. The site's creator is not a licensed financial advisor, broker, tax professional or attorney, and using the site doesn't create an advisory, fiduciary or professional relationship of any kind. Talk with a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
Accuracy and assumptions
The calculators produce estimates based on the assumptions you enter and on simplified models. Real markets, tax rules, benefit rules and personal circumstances are more complicated. Figures based on laws or published tables (for example, tax brackets, Social Security rules or IRS life-expectancy tables) reflect the date noted on each tool and can change. We work to keep things accurate, but the site may contain errors or out-of-date information, and results are not a promise or prediction of any outcome. Check anything important with an official source or a professional.
You're responsible for the decisions you make. Use the site at your own risk.
Advertising and affiliate disclosure
Investing Horizons is free because of advertising and affiliate partnerships.
- Affiliate links. Some links to financial tools, apps and brokers are affiliate links. If you click one and open an account or make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are labeled where they appear.
- Our independence. Compensation never changes what a calculator shows or how it does its math. A link to a product isn't a recommendation that it's right for you; compare your options and read the provider's terms before signing up.
- Ads. Ads on the homepage, stage pages and articles are served by Google AdSense. Google chooses which ads appear, so an ad isn't an endorsement. Ads never appear on our calculators.

The site links to websites we don't control, including affiliate partners and advertisers. We aren't responsible for their content, products, services or privacy practices, and your dealings with them are between you and them.
Using our content
The site's text, design and code belong to Investing Horizons. You're welcome to use the tools for your own personal planning and to share links to any page. Please don't copy, republish or sell substantial parts of the site without written permission.
