Who we are

Investing Horizons (investinghorizons.com) is run by Justin, based in Wisconsin, United States. In this policy, "we," "us" and "our" mean Investing Horizons. Questions about privacy: justin@investinghorizons.com.

What you enter in our calculators

Every calculator runs entirely in your web browser. The numbers you enter, such as your income, savings, debts or expenses, are processed on your device and are never sent to us or to any third party. We don't save them in cookies, local storage or anywhere else, and they disappear when you close or reload the page.

Ad scripts are never placed on calculator pages, so no advertiser can see what you type into a tool.

Information sent automatically when you visit

Like every website, ours has to be delivered to your browser. We host the site with Cloudflare. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare receives standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the address of the page requested, so it can deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. We don't run analytics and don't use this information to identify you. Cloudflare's handling is described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Some calculator pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. To do that, your browser contacts Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details. See the Google Privacy Policy.

Advertising

The homepage, stage pages and articles may show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads never appear on our calculators.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google in Google's Ads Settings. You can opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown. Residents of U.S. states with privacy laws that give a right to opt out of targeted advertising can do so through the same ad settings or the privacy message Google shows on our ad-supported pages.

These cookies are set and controlled by Google and its partners, not by us, and we don't receive personal information about you from them.

Affiliate links

Some links to financial tools, apps and brokers are affiliate links. If you click one, the company you visit may use cookies or a tracking code to record that you came from our site, so it can pay us a commission if you sign up or buy something. That company's own privacy policy governs what it collects. We don't receive your name or personal details from affiliate partners, only reports of whether referrals happened. If you email us

If you write to justin@investinghorizons.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to read and reply to your message. We never sell it, never add you to a mailing list, and will delete our copy if you ask.

What we don't do

• No user accounts, sign-ups, newsletters or contact forms.
• No analytics or tracking scripts of our own.
• No selling or renting of personal information.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculators work fully without them. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information about you. Because the only personal information we hold is email you choose to send us, the simplest way to use those rights is to email justin@investinghorizons.com.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top.
